Two enameled swans caressing each other dangle from a seed pearl chain. The enameling technique is mostly cloisonné, where little metal cells are filled with enamel. Red paste stones decorate the wings and neck of the swans. Three seed pearls also dangle from the bottom. This pendant is a Renaissance revival piece made in the Austro-Hungarian empire during the second half of the 19th c., where a lot of fine enamel jewelry was made.
