Boucher Flower Brick
This flower brick features two scenes of puti up to no good. Boucher’s work, who was sort of the champion of the rococo cherub, was incredibly influential in Europe and New Spain. On one side of the flower brick, a puti urgently runs to fuel a fire from his wood chopping station. On the other side, a greedy puti lifts a beehive to steal honey, only to be met with a swarm of vicious bees. The two ends of the flower brick have painted vessels.
Dimensions: 7” x 4” x 3 3/4”
